There are several required and optional directories that Lotus Install will create. Before you install Lotus products, you should decide where you want to put the directories. We recommend that you use the Organizer directory structure shown here:
Main Lotus directory - (\LOTUS)
Organizer Program directory - (\LOTUS\ORGANIZE)
Lotus Shared Tools directory - (\LOTUS\COMPNENT)
Organizer Data Files directory - (\LOTUS\WORK\ORGANIZE)

5. How to Install on a File Server
-------------------------------------------
To run a File Server Install:
1. Insert Disk 1 or the CD-ROM into the appropriate drive.
2. Windows 95: Choose Run from the Start menu.
Windows NT 3.51: Choose File Run from the Program Manager.
3. Type X:\INSTALL in the Run dialog box, where X: is your floppy
or CD-ROM drive and click OK.
Install consists of a series of dialog boxes that are generally
self-explanatory. If you need more information when using a dialog
box, choose Help by clicking the Help button or pressing ALT+H.
4. Select the File Server installation option.
5. Choose Customize features and select the features that you want.
6. In the Node User Feature Access dialog, specify whether node users can copy any
product features to their personal directory. (The features are available to node users
whether they can copy them or not.)
7. Complete the install process.
NOTE: After you install a Lotus application on the file server, you must run a Node Install before you can run the application.

6. How to Install on a Network Node
-----------------------------------------------
Once you have installed Organizer on a network file server, the Lotus Node Install program resides on that server. To install Organizer on a node, you must run a Node Install.
To run Node Install:
1. Windows 95: Choose Run from the Start menu.
Windows NT 3.51: Choose File Run from the Program Manager.
2. Type X:\PATH\INSTALL in the Run dialog box, where X:\PATH is the drive letter
and path for the main Lotus directory (Lotus\Organize).
3. Choose OK.
NOTE: If you have any Organizer 2.x version installed as a node, do not choose Yes when the install program asks if you want to delete a previous Windows 3.x version. If you have rights to the server directory, the shared copy will be deleted.

8. Uninstall
-------------------
You can use the Lotus Uninstall program to uninstall Organizer.
For Windows 95, run Uninstall from the Windows 95 Control Panel Add/Remove Programs icon.
1. Choose Settings - Control Panel from the Start menu.
2. Select Add/Remove Programs.
3. Choose Lotus Organizer 97.
4. Click Remove.
For Windows NT 3.51, run Uninstall from the Smart Suite program group.
